Michael P. Cillo is
a Colorado native and served four years as an
officer in the Marine Corps between college and law
school. In his last year in the Marines, he
prosecuted over 150 special court-martials. He
received his J.D. from the University of Denver
College of Law, joined Davis & Ceriani, P.C. in 1985 and
became the firm's fourth partner in 1990.
Litigation Practice
Mr. Cillo’s first securities fraud
case involved the fraudulent syndication of a Polish Arabian
stallion. Since then, he has come to represent individual and
institutional investors, including insurance companies and mutual
funds, in a wide variety of securities litigation. He is experienced
in addressing trading schemes, churning, large investment scams and
fraudulent bond transactions. He has arbitrated cases before the
American Arbitration Association, the New York Stock Exchange, the
Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, the National Association of
Securities Dealers and the National Futures Association. Mr. Cillo
has tried dozens of cases to verdict and has substantial experience
in litigation, not only in securities cases, but also in cases
concerning private real estate condemnation, commission and wage
disputes between real estate brokers, and shareholder disputes.
