Edward R. (“Ted”) Gorab was raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, received a B.A. in Political Science from Trinity University in 1993, and a J.D. from the University of Colorado in 1998.  Mr. Gorab joined Davis & Ceriani as an associate in 2000 and became a partner in 2005.  He practices in the real estate, land use and partnership/corporate areas, and has extensive experience representing landowners, developers, lenders, investors, residential and commercial builders and small businesses in real estate due diligence, financing, acquisition, sale, annexation, zoning, subdivision, development and leasing, and in the formation, structuring and general matters of partnerships and other entities. Representative transactions include:

  • Represented an international homebuilder in the acquisition of substantially all of the assets of a local homebuilder;

  • Represented a commercial developer in the acquisition, entitlements, and financing of a 300 acre regional mixed-used development in Aurora, Colorado;

  • Represented a national homebuilder in the acquisition of two approximately 1,000 lot subdivisions in Aurora, Colorado;

  • Represented a national homebuilder in the acquisition and entitlements of an approximately 1,000 lot golf course subdivision in Douglas County, Colorado;

  • Represented a commercial developer in the acquisition and financing of a regional mixed-used development in Broomfield, Colorado;

  • Represented local and nation developers and homebuilders in the entitlements, development, acquisition and/or sale of lots in subdivisions throughout Colorado;

  • Represented businesses in the acquisition and/or permanent financing of office buildings in the Denver area;

  • Represented tenants in the negotiation of small office leases;

  • Represented the purchaser in the acquisition of an approximately 150 unit apartment building in Greenwood Village, Colorado;

  • Represented the purchaser in the acquisition and financing of a 220,000 square foot warehouse near Commerce City, Colorado;

  • Represented land owners in the annexation and zoning of properties in several jurisdictions in northern Colorado;

  • Represented numerous clients in the formation of and the acquisition and sale of interests in closely held partnerships, corporations and limited liability companies.
