Gary J. Ceriani was born in Kremmling, Colorado, the son of a small town country doctor. He received a B.A. degree in English literature from the Colorado College in 1968, did post-graduate work in literature at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and obtained his J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1972. Mr. Ceriani practiced for four years with Helmick, Conover & Burkhardt, where he specialized in criminal and commercial litigation. Since co-founding Davis & Ceriani in 1978, Mr. Ceriani has gained a national reputation, and developed a national practice, in complex commercial litigation, including representing both individual and institutional investors in large, and frequently high profile, securities fraud actions across the country. He has tried some 200 cases to verdict or arbitration award and obtained two jury verdicts in excess of $20,000,000 and is a frequent lecturer and seminar participant on trial practice and procedure.
